Habitat Enhancement Program
Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
Jemma Scoble Consulting has led Indigenous consultation for Port of Vancouver’s Habitat Enhancement Program since its inception in 2011.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and implementation of consultation & engagement plans for all program projects (including 4 BC EAO exemptions)
- Coordinating Indigenous involvement and integrating Indigenous input and knowledge in the design and delivery of projects
- Developing and facilitating project workshops, including tidal marsh construction, invasive plants and eelgrass transplantation
- Supporting permitting processes such as the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s Project and Environmental Review, Fisheries Act Authorization and the BC Environmental Assessment Office project exemption process.
- Planning and implementing training initiatives, and
- Identifying and coordinating Indigenous procurement opportunities.
- Collaborative planning with Indigenous groups on cultural recognition components
